Bag Dust Collector

A bag dust collector(also called baghouse,bag filter,or fabric filter)is a high-efficiency dry-type industrial air pollution control device that captures airborne dust and particulate matter from industrial exhaust streams using fabric filter bags.It is the most widely used solution for industrial dust removal,valued for its 90%+filtration efficiency,even for fine particles down to 0.3μm.

Working Principle

Filtration:Dust-laden gas enters the collector’s housing.Large particles drop into the hopper by gravity;fine particles are trapped on the outer surface of filter bags as air passes through the porous fabric.

Clean Air Discharge:Clean air flows through the bags into the upper clean air chamber,then exits via the outlet.

Bag Cleaning:As dust builds up,pressure drop rises.The cleaning system activates(e.g.,pulse-jet)to dislodge dust cakes from the bags,restoring efficiency.

Dust Collection:Dislodged dust falls into the hopper and is discharged through an ash discharge valve.

Main Components

Housing:Divided into upper(clean air chamber),middle(filtration chamber),and lower(hopper)sections.

Filter Bags:The core element,made of polyester,fiberglass,or PTFE,tailored to dust properties and temperature.

Cage:A metal frame that supports filter bags to maintain shape.

Cleaning System:Typically pulse-jet(compressed air pulses),reverse-air,or mechanical shaker.

Hopper&Discharge Valve:Collect and remove separated dust.

Fan&Control System:Provides airflow and automates cleaning/operation.

Reverse-Air Bag Collector:Cleans bags with low-pressure reverse airflow;simple,reliable,suited for heavy dust loads.

Mechanical Shaker Bag Collector:Uses mechanical vibration to shake off dust;for low dust concentration and intermittent use.
