Cast Iron Penstock is a heavy-duty,precision-engineered flow control gate(often referred to as a sluice gate)fabricated primarily from cast iron or ductile iron,designed for reliable shut-off and regulation of water,wastewater,and other liquids in open channels,pipelines,and water control structures.

1.Core Construction&Materials

Frame&Gate(Door):Constructed from high-grade gray cast iron(HT250/EN-GJL-250)or ductile iron(GGG-500-7/SG Iron).Robust ribbed design for maximum rigidity and resistance to deflection under hydraulic load.

Sealing System:Precision-machined phosphor bronze or aluminum bronze alloy seating strips provide a metal-to-metal,bi-directional,watertight seal.Soft EPDM rubber seals are optional for silt-heavy applications.

Operating Stem:Stainless steel(304/316)rising or non-rising stem with precision-machined stub Acme threads for smooth operation.

Wedging Mechanism:Ductile iron side and top wedges ensure the gate is forced tightly against the frame seals for zero leakage.

Surface Protection:Heavy-duty bitumen coating,fusion-bonded epoxy(FBE),or polyurethane paint for superior corrosion resistance in harsh water environments.
