Dust Collector Cage

The Dust Collector Cage,also known as a filter cage or bag cage,is a core component of baghouse dust collectors,designed to support filter bags and ensure efficient dust filtration and cleaning.It plays a crucial role in maintaining the structural integrity of filter bags,optimizing airflow,and extending the service life of the entire dust collection system,widely used in industrial dust control scenarios.

Constructed with high-quality low-carbon steel wire,stainless steel wire,or galvanized steel wire,the dust collector cage is precision-welded to form a rigid cylindrical or rectangular frame.The wire diameter typically ranges from 2.0mm to 3.0mm,and the cage is equipped with evenly spaced vertical wires and horizontal rings(spacing 50–150mm),ensuring uniform support for the filter bag without damaging its surface.The top and bottom of the cage are fitted with flange plates or connecting caps,which facilitate quick installation and secure connection to the dust collector’s cell plate and cleaning system.

To enhance corrosion resistance and durability,the cage undergoes surface treatments such as hot-dip galvanizing,electro-galvanizing,or epoxy coating.Hot-dip galvanizing provides a thick,uniform protective layer,enabling the cage to withstand harsh industrial environments(e.g.,high humidity,corrosive dust)and extend its service life to 3–5 years.For special applications involving strong corrosion,stainless steel cages(304 or 316L)are available to ensure long-term stable operation.

The primary function of the dust collector cage is to prevent filter bags from collapsing under negative pressure during dust collection and to facilitate effective pulse-jet cleaning.When the cleaning system is activated,compressed air is sprayed into the cage,creating a reverse airflow that shakes off the dust cake attached to the filter bag surface.The rigid structure of the cage ensures that the filter bag maintains its shape during this process,avoiding bag damage and ensuring thorough cleaning.

Widely applied in industries such as cement,steel,power generation,mining,chemical,and food processing,the dust collector cage can be customized in terms of diameter(120–325mm),length(1000–6000mm),and structure(round,square,or oval)to match different filter bag sizes and dust collector models.Compliant with industrial quality standards,it provides reliable support for filter bags,ensuring efficient dust removal,improving air quality,and meeting environmental protection requirements.
