Electric Three-Way Material Distribution Valve

An electric three-way material distribution valve(also called a three-way diverter valve)is an automated device designed to switch,divert,or merge bulk solid materials(powders,granules,pellets)in conveying systems.It uses an electric actuator to control the position of the internal flap/valve plate,enabling precise routing of material flow between three ports.

1.Structure&Working Principle

Main Components:

Valve Body:Welded steel structure(mild steel or stainless steel),with three inlet/outlet ports(T-type or Y-type).

Internal Flap/Valve Plate:A rotating plate that seals one port while opening the other two,directing material flow.

Electric Actuator:Consists of an electric motor,reducer,and limit switches.It converts electrical signals into linear/rotary motion to drive the flap.

Transmission Mechanism:Crank-link or gear system connecting the actuator to the valve shaft.

Working Principle:

When the actuator receives a control signal(e.g.,4-20mA,0-10V),it rotates the valve shaft,swinging the internal flap to a preset angle.This action switches the material flow path:

Diverting:One inlet→two outlets(splitting material into two streams).

Converging:Two inlets→one outlet(combining materials from two sources).

Flow Switching:Alternating between two outlets for batch processing or system redundancy.
