Rod Gate Valve

A Rod Gate Valve,also widely known as Rising Stem Gate Valve/OS&Y Gate Valve,is a type of linear motion valve designed to fully open or fully close fluid flow in pipelines.It is named for its exposed rising stem(rod)that moves up and down visibly when the valve operates.

This valve features a wedge-shaped gate that slides perpendicular to the flow direction.When fully open,it offers an unobstructed straight flow path with minimal pressure loss;when fully closed,it provides tight bubble-tight shutoff for liquid,gas,and steam media.

The prominent rising rod allows operators to directly observe the valve opening status at a glance,which is great for on-site management and safety inspection.It is suitable for high temperature,high pressure,and harsh working conditions.Common body materials include ductile iron,cast steel WCB,stainless steel 304/316,and alloy steel.Standard pressure classes cover PN10 to PN420 and Class 150 to Class 2500,with size ranging from DN15 to DN2000.
