Square Inlet Rotary Feeder

Square Inlet Rotary Feeder(also called square inlet rotary airlock valve or square inlet star discharger)is a core component for continuous,quantitative,and airtight material conveying in pneumatic conveying,dust removal,and bulk material handling systems.It is designed with a square inlet flange for direct connection to hoppers,silos,dust collectors,or cyclones,optimizing installation space and material flow efficiency.

1.Main Structure

Housing:Made of cast iron,carbon steel,or stainless steel;features a square inlet and round/square outlet,with wear-resistant and pressure-resistant properties.

Rotor:Horizontal rotor with 6–10 V-shaped or U-shaped blades;crafted from high-strength/wear-resistant steel(e.g.,HARDOX)for durability.

Drive Unit:Gear motor(direct-coupled or chain drive)with adjustable speed;enables precise control of feed rate.

Sealing System:Packing seals or mechanical seals at shaft ends;prevents air leakage and material dust escape,maintaining system pressure difference.

Optional Parts:Pressure relief ports,inspection covers,and wear plates for easy maintenance and pressure balance.

2.Working Principle

Bulk materials(powders,granules,pellets)fall into the square inlet and fill the rotor blade cavities by gravity.

The motor drives the rotor to rotate at a constant speed;materials are sealed in cavities and transported from the inlet to the outlet.

Materials are discharged continuously and quantitatively at the outlet,while the rotor blades maintain airtightness between the inlet and outlet,locking air and ensuring stable pneumatic conveying or dust removal system pressure.

The pressure relief port exhausts high-pressure gas generated by rotor rotation,reducing material blockage and ensuring smooth flow.
