How to fix screw conveyor blade wear?

Screw conveyor blade wear is a common fault caused by long-term friction with abrasive materials such as sand, cement, ore and grain. Timely repair can avoid material blocking, reduced conveying capacity and equipment shutdown.

First, light wear treatment. For slight surface abrasion without deformation, use wear-resistant welding rod for surfacing welding. Polish the blade surface after welding to keep smooth and reduce material resistance.

Second, moderate wear repair. When the blade edge is obviously thinned, cut off the worn part and weld new wear-resistant steel plate on the edge. Keep the spiral pitch and balance consistent to prevent vibration during operation.

Third, severe wear replacement. If the blade is severely deformed, cracked or partially missing, replace the damaged blade section directly or install a new integral spiral blade. This is the most thorough solution for long-term use.

Fourth, add protective measures after repair. Paste wear-resistant lining plates or install hard alloy strips on the blade surface. Optimize feeding speed and avoid overloading, which can effectively slow down future wear and extend the service life of the screw blade.
