Which screw conveyor is best for bulk material?

For bulk material handling, the tubular screw conveyor and U-trough screw conveyor are the most suitable types.

U-trough screw conveyors are ideal for general bulk materials such as grain, sand, cement powder, fertilizer and plastic particles. They are easy to install, convenient for maintenance, and allow open or semi-enclosed conveying.

Tubular screw conveyors are more suitable for dusty, fine, easy-spilling and hygroscopic bulk materials. The fully sealed structure effectively avoids dust leakage and material waste, making it perfect for chemical raw materials, fly ash and industrial powder.

For abrasive or high-temperature bulk materials, shaftless screw conveyors are the best choice. They have no central shaft, avoid material winding and blocking, and adapt to sticky, wet and large particle bulk materials.

In short, choose U-trough for common bulk materials, tubular for dusty sealed conveying, and shaftless for sticky, abrasive and easy-blocking bulk materials.
