Silo Top Bag Filter

A Silo Top Bag Filter(also called silo vent bag filter or silo top dust collector)is a compact,pulse-jet operated dust filtration unit installed directly on the top of powder/storage silos.It cleans dust-laden air displaced during pneumatic filling or material charging,retains valuable powder inside the silo,and discharges clean air to atmosphere.

Working Principle

Dust-laden air in:When the silo is filled pneumatically,the displaced air with fine dust flows upward into the filter housing.

Filtration:Air passes through filter bags/cartridges;dust particles are trapped on the outer surface,while clean air goes through.

Pulse-jet cleaning:At set intervals,a pulse jet system fires short bursts of compressed air backward through the bags.This dislodges the dust cake,which falls back into the silo.

Clean air discharge:Purified air exits the filter vent,meeting environmental emission standards.

Stainless steel body:Usually 304/316 stainless steel,compact cylindrical design with bottom flange for silo-top mounting.

Filter elements:High-efficiency polyester/POLYPLEAT®filter bags or pleated cartridges;optional PTFE membrane for fine/sticky dust.
