Pneumatic Flap Valve

The Pneumatic Flap Valve(also known as Pneumatic Flap Gate or Pneumatic Discharge Valve)is a specialized industrial control valve widely used in powder,granular,and bulk material conveying systems.It is mainly used for on-off control,discharge,and feeding of materials in pipelines,silos,hoppers,cyclone separators,and dust collectors.Driven by a pneumatic cylinder,it features fast response,reliable operation,and easy integration with automated production lines,serving as a key component to ensure smooth material flow and system stability.

This valve adopts a flap-type structure,with a movable flap controlled by pneumatic actuation to open or close the flow channel,effectively preventing material backflow and air leakage,and adapting to various harsh industrial environments such as high dust,high temperature,and high pressure.

Working Principle

The Pneumatic Flap Valve operates based on the principle of pneumatic actuation,with a simple and reliable working process:

1.When compressed air(0.4-0.6 MPa)is introduced into the pneumatic cylinder,the piston rod drives the flap to rotate around the hinge shaft,opening the valve channel to allow materials to pass through(discharge or feeding).

2.When the air supply is cut off(or the air direction is switched),the flap is reset by the spring(spring-return type)or the reverse air pressure(double-acting type),closing the valve channel tightly to block material flow and prevent air backflow or material leakage.

3.Optional limit switches can feedback the valve’s opening and closing status to the control system,realizing automatic monitoring and interlocking control,ensuring safe and stable operation of the entire production line.
